2/15/14-2/16/14 Crooked Island, Florida

We tried to get out and go for a walk on Crooked Island beach the first day and it was simply just too windy...

The sand was blowing down the beach in white waves...

...stinging our legs and pushing against us.

It didn't take long before we called it quits and headed back home.

The next day was totally different.  Calm, warm(ish), and all that wind had tossed an abundance of shells onto the shore for us to find :).

It was nice to be able to kick off our shoes and get in the water a little bit...

The water was really clear and beautiful that day...

Tiny little conch, so pretty...

Handfuls of coral...

Handfuls of sand dollars, too...

Huge jelly fish!

Beach full of monkeys.  Oh wait, those are my kids ;)...

This was the day we found our new favorite spot on Crooked Island beach.

A little cove full of interesting things to discover...

"Fishing"...

Tired of "fishing", decided it was nap time instead (hehehe)...

We stayed as late as we could, then made our way back towards the parking area...

...stopping frequently to watch the sun put on it's evening show :).

Annnnd, as usual, we were the last to leave Crooked Island beach that day...
