Cruising into Nassau, Bahamas

Late nights and early mornings...

and oh so worth it :).

We caught a few hours sleep and were back on deck again to watch as the island of New Providence and the city of Nassau came into view.

It was SO windy!  We didn't mind, though :).  The views more than made up for it...

Each craft that enters or exits the harbor has to have a Bahamian escort.  I don't know about small boats, but on large ones like ours they actually pull up alongside and a dude leaps onto the ship...

The closer we got to the island, the brighter the water became.  I just love the way it looks like it's "lit within"...

Pretty everywhere you look :)...

As we floated towards our parking spot (funny, right?  can you IMAGINE parking one of these gigantors?), the ship started turning.  We pulled in facing one way...

...then that giant boat literally spun around end for end...

I spy:  Atlantis!

...and backed right into the spot.  Ha!

Very cool to watch :).

In no time at all, the ship was docked and we were free to go ashore...

Nassau, here we come :)!
