The Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone is one of those quiet places...
It invites you to slow down...
...stop the rush of go, go, go...
...and just inhale, breathe it in...
...and that's just what we did :). We took our time, no hurries, just walking around enjoying all the different view points of the canyon. The trees, the colorful walls, the massive waterfall, and the crystal clear water snaking through the bottom...
We noticed a sign telling of a ranger talk that was to begin right there at the edge of the canyon, so we found a shady seat and settled in to learn all the things...
When the talk was done, we were ready to move on. A slow drive back south, through one of the famous Buffie traffic jams...
Why do the Bison do that? Just stop right in the middle of the road, sometimes foreeeevvvver...then just as randomly decide ok, now I will take 10 steps and let allllll these cars go on about their day. Ha! Funny creatures...
We couldn't drive past the lake without stopping. Just not possible ;)...
Our last stop for the day in Yellowstone NP was at the little store in Grant Village. Cappuccino for all and we were back on the road...headed to Grand Teton National Park...
